About our Instructors

John is the lead instructor who served in the Army before joining the Fire Service and then the National Ambulance Service, with a career spanning over 29 years. During this time, he gained a vast amount of experience in all areas of the emergency industry, allowing him to share these experiences by delivering a high standard of training. While in the Fire Service, he graduated from IT Carlow with a bachelor's in Management. In addition, he underwent several courses at the Dublin Institute of Technology concerning Fire Prevention and Fire Management. John attended University College Cork and graduated with a bachelor's in Paramedic Studies. He is still an operational paramedic, providing patient care and training across Ireland.

Delivering flexible, fully customisable and accredited courses nationwide, seven days a week, First Aid Skills continues to demonstrate an unwavering commitment to quality, professionalism and life-saving education. This award recognises a team that not only teaches first aid, but instils confidence, capability and excellence in every participant.
